Craft For
Hong Kong goldsmiths today express the motivations behind their craft through their creations.
In the midst of the rapidly evolving era of artificial intelligence and robots, Hong Kong, this vibrant city with a rich history, is undergoing significant transformations. These changes touch upon numerous elements of its essence, including the once renowned jewellery industry. Against the backdrop of innovation, fresh values and cultures are emerging, ushering in a wave of continual reinvention within the local landscape. At the forefront of this evolution stand individuals with unyielding spirits - the goldsmith craftsmen, jewellery designers, artisans, and industry educators who work diligently in their respective domains.
What propels these individuals forward? “Craft for” has gathered 15 representatives deeply rooted in the industry and hailing Hong Kong as their home, all under the thematic umbrella of “Craft for - The Voices of Craftsmanship.” They extend an invitation to all to explore their creations and absorb the narratives of their backgrounds and aspirations in the realm of craftsmanship.
